Accessibility statement
Last updated July 2026
We want everyone to be able to use this site. Here is what we target, what is implemented today, and how to reach us if something is not working for you.
Our commitment
OwnIT with E is committed to making this website accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. The site is designed and built with the intent to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix. We review and improve the site as content is added and as we receive feedback from visitors and assistive technology users.
What the site implements
Semantic markup
Pages use proper heading order, landmark regions, descriptive link text, and labeled form fields so assistive technology can announce content correctly.
Skip link
A skip-to-content link is the first focusable element on every page, letting keyboard and screen reader users jump past the navigation.
Keyboard operability
All interactive elements, including the navigation, forms, and buttons, are reachable and operable with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator throughout.
Focus management
When the contact form is submitted, focus moves to the confirmation message so keyboard and screen reader users land on the outcome instead of losing their place.
Reduced motion
Smooth scrolling and non-essential animation are disabled for visitors whose system settings request reduced motion.
Responsive design
Layouts reflow across screen sizes and support browser zoom without loss of content, and meaningful images include descriptive alt text.
Known limitations
No site is perfect, and we are upfront about areas where we are still improving:
- Third-party services used by the site, such as analytics, are built by outside vendors and may not meet the same standards as the rest of the site.
- Some decorative visual treatments, such as image overlays, may render differently in high-contrast modes.
If you run into something specific, the fastest way to get it fixed is to tell us.
Report a barrier
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, please let us know through the contact form. The more detail you share, the easier it is to reproduce and fix the issue.
Helpful details to include: the page address where the issue occurred, a short description of what was not working, and your browser, operating system, and any assistive technology in use.
